Same As Sister (S.A.S.) is beyond thrilled to announce that co-director and choreographer Hilary Brown-Istrefi has been awarded a Bogliasco Center Fall 2026 Fellowship in Dance. She is among 28 artists and scholars representing 14 disciplines, 14 countries, and ranging in age from 26 to 78. These exceptional individuals will spend a month at the Bogliasco Center, one of the world's leading programs for the arts and humanities, developing innovative projects across disciplines.

During her residency, Brown-Istrefi will research how different means of reenactment can be devised to perform the complex entanglement of identities found within Same As Sister’s project in development, Upstairs, In Our Bedroom.
