Same As Sister (S.A.S.) is incredibly excited to announce that co-director and choreographer Hilary Brown-Istrefi has been selected as a 2026–2027 Movement Research Artist-in-Residence. The Movement Research Artist-in-Residence (MR AIR) Program provides NYC-based early career generative dance artists with resources including residency fees, rehearsal space, professional development, and other opportunities for discourse surrounding their creative process in a supportive and generative environment over an 18-month period.

The 2026–2027 MR AIRs are (pictured below left-right): Benin Gardner, Blaze Ferrer, Demetris Charalambous, Hilary Brown-Istrefi, Marie Lloyd Paspe, and Maya Lee-Parritz.
